Terms of service

1. What Lumie is

Lumie is an app and website that provide an animated AI companion for focus, planning, and reflection. By creating an account or using the beta, you agree to these terms.

2. What Lumie is not

Lumie is not a medical device, therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or crisis service, and it is not a substitute for professional care. Content generated by Lumie — conversations, journals, intentions — is creative, story-based output and may be inaccurate. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.

3. Your account

• You sign in with a Google account; you're responsible for keeping that account secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumie.
• You may delete your account at any time (see the support page).

4. Acceptable use

• Don't attempt to access other users' data or our infrastructure.
• Don't reverse-engineer, resell, or misrepresent the service.
• Don't use Lumie to generate or spread harmful content.

5. Beta status

Lumie is in beta. Features may change, break, or disappear; data may occasionally be reset with notice. The beta is currently free; if paid plans are introduced, pricing will be published before any billing begins.

6. Your content

Your intentions, conversations, and journals are yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process them to operate the service (for example, generating your journal). We don't use them for advertising.

7. Our content

Lumie's characters, world, artwork, names, and software are ours (or our licensors'). Don't reuse them commercially without permission.

8. Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months (during the free beta: zero).

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using Lumie at any time.
